My Favorite Lilly Pulitzer Prints

Just a little spur of the moment post my favorite Lilly Pulitzer Prints. I am in LOVE with Lilly and the patterns they produce (just realized they stopped selling the Delia shift dress in the pattern that I wanted, tear). But any who, without further ado here are my favorite Lilly patterns.

10. Texas

Not the most gorgeous print ever, but as a Texas girl I could't leave it out.

9.  Wild Confetti

I really like the contrast of the leaf colors with the different shades. But as much as I do like this pattern i feel like it looks busy, and cluttered. If you were to wear this defiantly leave everything else to minimum.  I also feel like it looks more Vera Bradley, than Lilly Pulitzer.... anyone else?

8. Behind The Gate

I love the pastel use in Behind The Gate. It is a very beautiful baroque inspired pattern.

7.  In The Gardens

What really drew my eye to this patten is the subtle Cheetah (or Leopard, someone let me know what). Usually I'm not always a big fan of Lilly prints with animals, but they pulled this one of FLAWLESSLY.  "2 POINTS FOR GRYFFINDOR!"

6.  Peel And Eat

Easily my favorite flamingo print that they have produced. The uses of the purples and the yellows in the water made it look interesting, and contrasted beautifully with the pink and the orange. SIDE NOTE: I just realized the shrimp in the picture! Am I the only one who hasn't noticed that until now?

5. Anchors Away

Not sure why I like this print so much. But defiantly simple, and I like when Lilly is simplistic.

4.  Hearts A Flutter

I like the fact it is not a normal chevron. I thought adding the white in-between the colors was well... ingenious.

3. First Impression

I'm sure everybody saw this one coming.  Although way overused!!! The painting is a timeless classic. The use of the white in the flowers added great definition.

2. Tusk in Sun

I was having a hard time debating weather this should be my number one or two. The ONLY reason this isn't my number one is there really was no definition. But, I do love elephants and it's simplistically perfect. Love the two colors together also.

And Last But Not Least

1. Lets Cha Cha
As y'all may or may not know I'm a scuba diver, so I'm defiantly digging the coral. The orange and the green blended greatly (weird huh?) This is GORGEOUS I AM IN LOVE!!!

So that was my little collection of Lilly patterns. What are your favorite let me know. Thanks for reading!

Preppy Summer Essentials

Summer is quickly approaching and to honor the upcoming season I thought I would share with you my favorite summer staples. If you could only buy 5 things for the summer this is what I would recommend.

South Of Preppy Blog

  1. Jack Rodgers. The sandal sent from Heaven. Not only do these come in multiple colors and styles, they're comfortable! Nobody wants sore arches when doing all the amazing things you're going to be doing this summer. They're a little on the pricey side, but they hold up extremely well.
  2. PFG Shirt. Monogram optional. They are the perfect coverup for the beach. Sand easily wipes off, and it's moisture wicking. I recommend sizing up if you're planning to use this to throw over you're swimsuit, so it covers your boo-tay. I got mine monogramed by the Etsy shop MadAboutMonograms.
  3. Croakies. Especially Helpful if you wear aviators. I cannot tell you the amount of times the little nose pieces of my sunglasses got stuck in my hair or I've lost em'. These croakies ensure you're hair stays tangle free, and your sunglasses in your sight. They generally are pretty cheap too. Vineyard Vines sells some that are around $9.
  4. Colorful Shorts. They're comfortable and stylish without trying. Pair these with a basic shirt and your "Rodgers", and you're set for any adventure
  5. Mason Jar Glass. Just a cute way to bring your sweet tea with you every wear you go. I believe you can get monogrammed ones on Etsy.

Let me know what your summer essentials are down in the comments.
